Yeo-Kal Electronics Pty Ltd was founded in 1975 by Geoff Yeomans and Jim Kalopedis to design and manufacture scientific instruments for measuring parameters associated with water quality and oceanography. Its current managing director is Geoff Yeomans. Maolian Xu (PhD graduate in underwater physics and electronics engineering) joined the company in 2019 as senior design engineer developing new instrumentation. The factory is located in Brookvale NSW Australia.

Yeo-Kal Pty Ltd is a wholly Australian owned private company which has invested considerable resources into machinery, equipment and qualifiedstaff to ensure that its products are of the highest quality and robust in the field. Yeo-Kal manufactures a range of instruments measuring temperature, depth, conductivity, salinity, dissolved oxygen, oxidation and reduction potential and turbidity. Other products include telemetry monitoring systems for remote offshore, estuarine and inland waterways.

In Australia Yeo-Kal products are used by government agencies, private contractors, construction companies, water authoritiesand universities to ensure they meet government regulations, environmental monitoring and research. Internationally Yeo-Kal products are recognized and exported to many countries including China, Korea, Japan, Malaysia, Spain, France, and GreatBritain.

Yeo-Kal Electronics aims to offer advanced technology at an affordable price. In order to remain at the leading edge of technology, Yeokal has an ongoing research and development program currently lead by Dr Xu.
